In short
Europe 2.0 aims to cover news and trends about entrepreneurship, startups, web 2.0, technology, financing, in Europe & around.
Rationale
Europe is still trailing behind US regions such as Silicon Valley, but there are some reasons to be more upbeat :
- some european success stories (Skype, Kelkoo,…),
- a generation of entrepreneurs that can serve as role models (Martin Varsavsky, Pierre Chappaz, Niklas Zennström, Loic Le Meur,…) and impart some wisdom to younger entrepreneurs,
- availability of funds, of VCs that can support companies in the long haul…
The time is thus ripe to chronicle the development of a new breed of european Entrepreneurs and companies.
